The National Airspace System (NAS) Service Roadmaps lay out the strategic activities for service delivery to improve NAS operations and move towards the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) vision. They show the evolution of major FAA investments/programs in today's NAS services to meet the future demand. The Service Roadmaps are updated as research and analyses more clearly define the NAS services evolution. An Operational Improvement/Sustainment (OI/OS) represents a discrete strategic activity for service delivery to improve NAS operations and move towards the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) vision. This feature allows you to interactively browse through the available OIs/OSs including the ability to apply filters and to drill down for further details.
Depicts the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Key Performance Areas (KPAs) with the associated Global Plan Initiatives (GPIs) as described in ICAO Document 9750: Global Air Navigation Plan. The GPI pages list the aligned NAS EA Operational Improvements.
The Service Roadmaps are updated periodically as research and analyses more clearly define the NAS services evolution. As updated Service Roadmaps are released, the prior versions are available as archived consolidated briefing packages respectively.
